Water Resources Design Engineer
Minimum Requirements: Qualified candidates for Water Resources Engineer shall have 3-5 years of hydrologic/ hydraulic design experience, particularly knowledge of local/county government, District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia guidelines and permitting processes for storm drainage design, stormwater management design, sediment & erosion control plans, bridge scour analysis, floodplain analysis and/ or stream restoration design. A licensed professional engineer with a B.S. in Civil Engineering is preferred. Other desired skills include: Rosgen Stream Certification Level 2 or higher, familiarity with project contractual requirements and experience working effectively as a liaison with Regulatory Agencies, General Contractors and Owners. Some experience with project development/management is desirable. Excellent computer skills, including CADD/Civil 3Dand/or MicroStation design software and hydraulic modeling programs along with Office products (Word, Excel, etc.). Excellent written and verbal communications skills are necessary. This position provides opportunities for individual responsibility and professional growth in our expanding organization.

Some experience with project development/management is desirable. Geotechnical Engineer
This is an entry level to journeyman level position with the ideal candidate possessing the required educational background and 0 to 5 years of experience. Qualified candidates for Geotechnical Engineer shall have a BS in Civil Engineering or Geology, with an emphasis in geotechnical engineering preferred. Academic and/or project experience desired includes both deep and spread footing foundations for transportation related structures, bridges and/or buildings, earthwork and subgrade improvement strategies, pavement design and evaluation, and stormwater management assessments. Education and/or experience in field sampling & testing operations is desired. Experience in related areas, such as structural engineering and/or construction inspection, is desirable. Senior Construction Inspector
This is a senior level position requiring a minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience. Qualified candidates should have experience with structural steel, concrete, soil testing and pavement/asphalt testing and be able to perform their job with a minimum of supervision. Certifications such as MARTCP, ACI, NIST are required. Looking for a responsible, energetic, outgoing individual, willing to invest in their future and the future of the department.
Junior Construction Inspector
This is an entry level to journeyman level inspection position with ideal candidates possessing 0 to 4 years of work experience.
